A Different Celebrity Photo from Past or Present!
To Honor the late President Ford we are changing our format
this once from celebrity weddings to Presidents dancing. This month's
Dancing Presidents are a debonair Gerald Ford cutting a rug with
a beaming Queen Elizabeth of England,
Ronald and Nancy Reagan at his second Inauguration and Bill and
Hillary Clinton dancing at his inauguration in 1993. Even Presidents
get put on the spot with dancing, lessons helped!

A Wedding Tradition Explained!
"Kidnapping The Bride"
The Czech have some really fun and unusual Wedding customs. One of
these is the Kidnapping Of The Bride. This
is symbolic of the Bride's leaving her parent's home and old friends
and the beginning of a new life with her husband.
Near the end of the reception, friends will "kidnap" the Bride and
hide her somewhere close by. If the Groom does not find her he has
to pay a ransom. If you decide to do this for fun it is probably best
to set some ground rules and a time limit so your wedding guests do
not
have
to
wait too
long
for the
Bride's
return.

Kim's Wedding Tips!
Getting good video footage: Video is all about movement,
about life. The worst thing you can do is freeze and stare at the
camera
without
saying
anything.
You will
be having a lot of fun at your wedding and you will be at your most
beautiful when you are smiling and laughing with your groom,
friends
and family. The videographer will be trying to catch you at these moments.
If you are aware of them, try to either ignore their presence
or ham
it up.
You are paying them to get moving pictures - set up some
things to add some visual interest ahead of time.
Dance lessons can really pay off here! Is there a fabulous staircase
you and your groom can descend? Are the gardens beautiful? A shot of
you
two
walking
through
a garden
in your
wedding finery is a lovely thing to behold in the final video. At a
wedding I went to recently, a bride arrived in an open carriage. The
image of her with the veil flowing behind her in the wind was priceless.
If there will be anything lit (sparklers), thrown (rose petals or
confetti)
or blown (bubbles) be sure that the videographer knows about it before
hand, preferably in a written or typed planned agenda of the days
festivities.
Be sure to give them the names of people you really wish to have in
your video (again in writing before the event - you don't have time
to introduce them at the wedding). They don't know your friends, so
giving them this list will ensure that those people you love the most
appear in your video.

Kim's Wedding Dance Tip
""Dancing in Unusual Clothes""
Some might argue that a tux and wedding gown are unusual garb. When
getting fitted for your wedding clothes, both you and your fiance should
sit, stretch and walk around to make sure you can move with ease. Nothing
should be overly restrictive. The hem of your dress should be slightly
off the floor, you don't want to be walking around like Mortisha Addams
all night! If
you have
a
train,
bustle
it!
Some things are more difficult. If either of you wear a Tiara or Crown,
it must either be permanently affixed to your head, or you must dance
less actively to keep it on. Our biggest tip here is to practice dancing
in something similar shape-wise to what you will be wearing. You or
a friend probably already have a huge bridesmaid or prom dress that
is about the size of your gown. This will show you if you have any
limitations
in backward movement and get the man used to being next to you in a
huge skirt without stepping on you. When teaching couples for their
first danced, we have a crinoline that make the Bride wear on the last
lesson specifically for this purpose! Jayson (see photo) was really
happy we had done this because he was prepared and was not thrown off
by how big Heidi's dress was while spinning her!

Julia Elena of Casa Mauricio has been designing
elegant and stunning wedding gowns for years, and you can trust her to
help you create your dream dress. At Casa Mauricio all dresses are crafted
to the bride and therefore each is totally unique. Julia Elena is offering
a free personal design consultation by appointment. Each consultation
features attention to 5 salient points which you should consider when
purchasing a gown.:
1)THE EVENT - a dress for a garden wedding is not the
same as for a formal evening event. The dress sets the tone for the
whole wedding.
2)THE PERSONALITY OF THE BRIDE - Who are you and what is your dream
vision of how you want to look?!
3)THE BODY TYPE - Since each gown is made to order it will be a perfect
fit, designed to highlight your best features.
4)BUDGET - Julia Elena is a designer, not a sales clerk working on a
commission. She is interested in creating the perfect dress for you
that you can afford.
5)PERSONALIZED COLOR ANALYSIS- an often overlooked yet crucial step
in the selection of your dress. There are many shades of white (diamond,
peachy, cream, yellow, blue...) and you want set off your skin tones
to advantage.

Poems, Prayers & Promises
A
romantic quote to simply to elevate your mood or to help you find the
right sentiment for your vows or ceremony.
"Keep love in your heart. A life without it is like a sunless garden
when the flowers are dead. The consciousness of loving and being loved
brings a warmth and a richness to life that nothing else can bring."
Oscar Wilde
