exotic and highly perishable item. Serving almonds to your guests developed
as a great way to display your wealth. In the 17th century, French confectioners
covered the almonds in hard sugar coatings for the royal court. This
royal treatment also preserved them and invented Jordan Almonds as we
know them today. The combination being at once sweet and bitter, became
a metaphor for life which is filled with both tears and joy. Traditionally

wedding favor. Five almonds signify five wishes for the bride and groom:

on whatever favor you select. Simply typing in "Jordon Almonds" into
a google search will give you an unexpected wealth of options. The edible
gold and silver ones are particularly stunning, but you can easily coordinate
with any color scheme. It's more fun for the guests if you have printed
the tradition surrounding the almonds on labels with the favors or in
your program. If you have selected candy of any nature and are going
to be having children at your wedding, plan for a few extra to be needed.
Don't forget to calculate wedding favors for those who will NOT be attending
your wedding day, but will have sent you a lovely wedding gift.

Many Grooms are afraid of stepping into their Brides while dancing for
fear of ripping the bridal gown. This causes them to lean their heads
forward and look down at the skirt. This posture will not only look
strange but also make it very hard to enjoy moving together to the music.
The Groom should pay absolutely no attention to the dress at all, other
than how gorgeous it makes you look. Leading is hard enough! He should
be dancing with an upright, confident posture, looking around to navigate
or staring lovingly into the Bride's eyes. Ironically, when dancing
together at any wedding the Groom is far less likely to step on the
dress than the Bride is. Provided that the hem of your wedding dress
is at least a half an inch off the floor it will move out of the way
when your Groom steps towards you. Be sure when you are fitted for your
gown that you can easily move in all directions (especially going backwards!!!)
while wearing your wedding shoes, ensuring that your high heels will
not get caught as you move and dance throughout the day.
