"Platinum Wedding Bands"

Platinum found in very few places on earth and is one of the rarest precious metals. Platinum has been used since the time of the ancient Egyptians about 3,000 years ago. Eight hundred years later, the Incas of South America also worked with platinum. It wasn't seen in Europe until the late 1700's in the court of Louis XVI of France. It has only become popular for jewelry for the last 200 years. Platinum bands have a modern elegant look that continues to gain popularity for wedding bands for several reasons. It is arguably one of the the finest, purest and rarest precious metals on earth. In the U.S., platinum jewelry contains 90% or 95% pure platinum. 18 karat gold is only 75% pure gold and 14 karat gold is just 58% pure. Platinum is stronger and heavier than gold (it weighs 60% more!). Many jewelry makers feel platinum is better suited for diamond and colored stone settings because of its strength and durability. That's why the world's most famous diamonds, like the Hope, Jonker Diamond Number One, and the Koh-i-Noor have platinum settings. Faberge and Cartier both prized platinum for their diamond creations. Symbolically, it's purity, strength, luster, rarity and elegance epitomizes the long lasting nature of what true love and marriage should be!

3) Kim's Wedding Tips!

Don't get your rings too small. A common thing for some jewelers to tell a groom is to get the ring a 1/4 size too small. That way the ring can't slide off and the the wife cannot lose it. This happened to me. As a result, I loved the look of my ring but was never comfortable with it on my hand. I was always messing with it. The worst was that when I became pregnant with my son, I had to wear my wedding ring on my pinky finger. Get the wedding rings the right size to start out with. They are symbols not shackles!

4) Kim's Wedding Dance Tip "The Bride Only Spins Once In A Row!"

Occasionally for less formal weddings women wear a small dress but most of us get married in a skirt that is way bigger than anything we have worn before or will ever wear again. An average to small skirt has at least 40 yards of fabric in it. This means that the dress spins much slower than the woman. Check out the inset of our students Jason and Heidi for corroboration. If the Groom spins the Bride once and keeps dancing the skirt will work it's way around but if he spins her twice in a row the dress will wrap twice around her legs and she will become a very beautiful mermaid and the couple will be able to to little else but sway side to side. This does not mean that the groom shouldn't spin the bride! I give my guys a minimum quota of 5 spins per dance. Just make sure the groom doesn't do it twice in a row. If your groom gets carried away and does it accidentally then tell him to spin you once in the opposite direction to untangle you.
